A Division of Synapse Sustainability Trust
April 4, 2014 At the Links, East Syracuse, New York

Welcome to The Annual Symposium on Energy in the 21st Century. Our goal is to present the most up to date policy on energy issues and this year will be one of our most exciting events. It will be our tenth Symposium. Our country is at a crossroad in energy sustainability and the goal of this year's Symposium is to examine what we have accomplished in the past ten years and project what we can expect for the next ten years.
The Symposium has been noted as one of the most important energy conferences in the North East and draws up to 400 attendees each year. The Symposium provides a venue for a diverse population to join together in a bi-partisan multi-disciplinary conversation and learning experience on sustainability and renewable energy. The attendees include those who work in or are interested, and includes professionals and interested citizens, congressmen, mayors, town supervisors, presidents and deans of colleges, CEO's, professors, students, engineers, architects, city planners, representatives from the offices of elected official both on the federal, state and local levels, farmers, as well as citizens. This large group comes to share and learn from each other as well as from an outstanding group of speakers.
This is the tenth year I will be chairing The Symposium. Last year's Symposium was awesome, with top experts from all over the country. The Symposium has been chosen to be produced as a documentary by WRVO, NPR affiliate sometime this year. This is exciting news and really cool! However, if you would like to hear the speakers' presentations and panel discussion now, go to this WRVO link: http://wrvo.org/post/planning-net-zero-energy-footprint
This year's program will be an extremely important look at the future of renewable energy for the next ten years. We will have international, national and local experts and decision makers. The program should prove to be educational and visionary. Make sure to save the date, April 4, 2014. Registration will open late December.
In order to keep the registration fee so low, we welcome sponsors for the Symposium. We cannot produce this Symposium without our dedicated sponsors, who are listed in the program and also included on our website. As usual, it is always a pleasure hearing from all of you and we

Thank you, Rhea. Another great conference and I am very appreciative of all the work you put into this. Bringing this conference and information to us on an annual basis is incredibly valuable.
